- It is a single character: it survives copy and paste into any text field and counts as one character against limits.
The bullet is the standard list marker, and pasting it is the usual way to get bullet lists into Instagram bios, YouTube descriptions and other plain text fields that have no list button. The white bullet and triangular bullet give you second and third list levels. The middle dot is the thin separator seen between words in navigation bars.
